Face Painter	750.-	Our face-painters (see Gallery) work according to a very strict code of ethics and use imported, antifungal, professional face-paint with skin soothing agents. Please click here to learn more. Code of practice of our face painters
Photographer	750.-	2 ½ hours, with special focus on birthday child, will get CD with 50 – 75 pictures
Various Jumping Castles, Hire	750.-	2 ½ hours, will be delivered, put up and taken down
Reptile show	650.-	A fabulous and safe experience with real life snakes and bearded dragon lizards. From toddlers to grannies, everyone has an unforgettable experience when Specialists introduce them to the do's and don'ts with real snakes. It is an unforgettable as well as educational experience, brilliant value for money.
Pottery Craft	100.- per child	Each child gets to paint their dragon or fairy, or figurine of a specific theme and gets to take it home. See Pottery craft in action in our Pictures Gallery. The figurines are quite big, authentic, fine Pottery items with quality clay.
Pottery Wheel	R 750.-	A professional potter will arrive with two pottery wheels, each child gets a turn at making a cup, birthday child gets to take its pottery craft home.
Moulding Paint Art	75.- per child	Each child gets to paint their own mould (plaster of paris) of a specific theme and gets to take it home.
Beading Party	R 100.- per child	Includes the materials the children need and each child can take the beading craft they made home.
Magicians, Event organizers, Puppet Shows	On request, we will gladly get a quote for you; tell us what you are looking for. Magicians are usually around 950.- to R 1’150.- depending on which one I manage to secure for you.	Shows are usually 45 Min. long. The earlier you book, the easier it is to get the ones most in demand.
Pony Rides, Mobile Animal Farm, etc.	On request, tell us what you are looking for, we'll source it and quote for you.	Remember, the earlier you book the greater the chance that what you are looking for is going to be available, especially for week-end parties.
Decoration of venue	R 475.-	Balloons, table decoration, wall decoration of venue, flowers, table confetti, Birthday Banner.
Themed Parties for children	R 17.- per child	Table overlays, serviettes, cups and plates in a given theme like Spiderman, Mermaidia, Barbie, etc.
No external suppliers of equipment, eg. Ponies, event organizers or others may be brought to the premises of Fern Gully without prior consent. R 150 charge will be levied for use of external suppliers, caterers or electrical output.

Venue Hire	Venue hire includes use of playground, tea, coffe, apple juice for children, microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery, one helper, table cloths, 2 large tables for food, 1 large table for gifts, 1 large table for crafts (if needed), 1 short table for birthday cake
Catering	Yes, we can organize catering for you. Check our hot, cold, sweet and funny platters here. Yes, we do allow you to do your own catering at a surcharge of R 150.-
Rain, cold or scorching hot weather	We have a large indoor area when it rains. Shows that require inside space like a Magician, Pottery crafts, Beading etc. can all be held inside the venue. Our venue is warm because the morning sun heats it up through the large amount of glass doors. On scorching summer days, these can be opened to create a fresh breeze. In mid winter we can also heat the room up on demand. There are ample chairs for sitting.
Sanitary facilities	There are two ladies toilets, two gents toilets and one urinal, we can also set up a baby changing facility and a seperate mothers room for nursing babies on demand.
Ice Cream Cake	Our fridge has got a freezer compartment that is large enough for flat ice-cream cakes. Alternatively, if you have one of those that has got a Barbie or a Spiderman stuck in it, we can make arrangements in our chest freezer next door.
Birthday Cakes	We do not organize Birthday cakes.
Party Packs	Yes, we can organize Party Packs from R 17. - to R 45.- per pack, depending on what you would like the content of the Party pack to be. We do not put cheap cooldrinks filled with tartrazine, msg and food coloring in party packs, hence we do not make Party Packs under R 17.- per child.
Liquor	We are not licensed for liquor, but you may bring your own drinks onto Fern Gullys premises. There is a fridge to keep them cold. Our freezer compartment is not large enough to make your drinks cold, please bring them cold. Alternatively by prior arrangement, we can organize ice and a large zinc bucket to get them cold as quick as possible at a nominal fee. Please bear in mind though that it is a children's venue.
Lawn, little scooters	Our kiddies playground is lawned. There is a scooter bike track for the radio control car races and the little black and pink bikes/scooters. The bike track has been prepared bearing those little nacked knees in mind that bleed so easily on tar. Hence our scooter track has been prepared with a special surface mix of soil and cement that is softer on tots skin than tarmac. Parents are welcome to bring their own children's scooters and bikes with, as long as they are not motorized.
Indian tipee, badminton net	Can both be put up on request, at no extra charge.
Security and secure parking	We are on the safe side of President Park situated within an access controlled area recently christened "Guinnea Fowl Estates", which is nestled in the safe Valley between Glen Austin Ext. 3 and Austin View. There are no low cost houses anywhere near us or near the access to Guinnea Fowl Estates. We are one road below Lory Park Zoo. Access to the surburb is very safe from K101/R101 or Dale Road or even Modderfontein Road via Swart. We have offstreet parking as well as for large groups ample pavement parking with a car guard on duty.

Bookings	If you would like to make a provisional booking that nobody snatches your favorite date, click here and we will confirm for you if it is available. Upon confirmation, we will need R 600.- deposit for the venue and a 100% deposit for any of the entertainers to effect the necessary bookings for you and to hold the date for you. If catering is required, we need 100% deposit at least 10 working days in advance for all catering.

Terms and Conditions:

A non refundable deposit of R 600.- secures your booking. Venue and catering need to be fully paid 10 days prior to event by direct cash deposit or internet transfer. No cheque deposits unless by prior arrangement. All entertainment and extras need to be confirmed and fully paid by booking and at least 10 days prior to event. The venue hire includes a maximum of 50 people, (adults and children) thereafter R 15.- per head surcharge.

Venue hire is strictly for 2 ½ hours, plus up to 50 min. setting up time; R 350 per hour or part thereof will be levied for late leavers. If there are no bookings after you, you can extend your stay by prior arrangement for R 250.- per hour.

The host parent on entering Fern Gully must sign an indemnity form. Kids need to be supervised by their parents at all time and all equipment is used solely at own risk.

Fern Gully Training Center and Party Venue is located in 1/200 Burger Road, Guinnea Fowl Estates, President Park. That is one Road down from Lory Park Zoo, opposite the old Idle Winds off Swart Road, in the access controlled, boomed off Boulder Valley of President Park.
